The national pet food recall has expanded once again, this time due to melamine toxin in a rice protein concentrate<\/em> ingredient that has been imported by Wilbur-Ellis Co. of San Francisco, California, from Binzhou Futian Biology Technology Co. Ltd. in China (a separate Chinese company from the one that shipped the tainted wheat gluten<\/em> ingredient).<\/p>\n

In addition to the previously reported Natural Balance Pet Foods<\/strong> recall for its Venison and Brown Rice Dry Dog Food and Venison and Green Pea Dry Cat Food formulas manufactured by Diamond Pet Foods<\/strong>, Royal Canin<\/strong> has now recalled seven canine dry dog foods and one dry cat food formula, and Blue Buffalo<\/strong> has recalled one production run of its Spa Select Kitten<\/em> dry cat food formula.<\/p>\n
